keep doing what you're doing; if it hurts, stop doing it, at least for a bit!
He showed me the MRI slices; the bone bruise on the upper legbone that is still healing, the partially healed extent it started out at; the swelling around the partially damaged MCL ligament that "gave" and started this all; the fluid around the rest of the joint.
He also told me there is arthritis under the kneecap that was aggravated by all of this, but it's not something that needs surgery until much further down the road.
He told me not to start the therapy his assistant had written me the scrip for 12 days ago (was kind of avoiding that 'til I had the MRI results). He said I can go downstairs and start walking on my treadmill when I feel like; if it aches to get off it and let it rest.
They faxed me in a 90 day prescription for the anti-inflammatory, Meloxicam, they started me on the other week.
So that's the health update...time for some late lunch and maybe a nap!
May the week be kind to each of you!

Could be better, but could be much worse. I'm glad it's not.
May the week be kind to you!
Glucosamine.. And lots of it.
Xxx
Sounds like good conservative advice. I like that. No surgery. Don't do it if it hurts. Okay, a good beginning. Hope it heals quickly and well.
I hope all that stuff keeps it under a degree of control, Alan...

It does sound sensible, now you just have to obey it.
Meloxicam sounds like an Inca king. Or do I mean Aztec? -my medications sound like dog food... go gently, now.
I like the advice. Hope you're taking it and that you're feeling better. I really hope that arthritis doesn't get bad.
It's so cool to see pics of our own insides. I mean, x-rays are old and MRI is new, but either way, I always like to see that stuff.
Ack. This sounds terrible. I hope you get some relief soon. A family member has arthritis. In constant pain... enough to be off work permanently. He just went to a place in the States to help with health, pain management and a few other things... apparently a Vegan diet is very helpful for arthritis. He went cold turkey off the meat (no pun intended). Seems to be helping!
Good luck with the arthritis, my knee wakes me up in the morning every time the weather changes.
My grandson tore his ACL and his meniscus shooting baskets, the only good things about it was, it was the night before his Unit was being shipped to Afghanistan when the war first started.
He did have successful surgery, and it did stop him from re-upping.. :D
