Harbingers of Spring

Lori mentioned all the rain we had last week; on Friday, between the pre-April showers and the warmth, I found these when I woke up:

Saturday when I got home from running my errands, Dottie had beaten me home (I slept later than I should have, but it was the weekend!) and I called her outside to see another visitor:

I grabbed the little camera and after I shot this one, it was like this beautiful creature had decided it was time for her close-up:

The tulips always go by too quickly; this time it might be a blessing as they say we're going back down into the 20's later in the week. I hope that butterfly finds somewhere much warmer to hang out by then!

beautiful shots! It's hard to get a butterfly to sit for a photo shoot.

Breathtaking photos! I just started to get into butterflies last fall when Lise and I went to Pointe Pelee for the annual monarch migration.

Lovely photos from a lovely man.

That's you, my dear.

Where oh where did our Jon-Marc go?

I've been so out of touch lately.

Spring cannot be to far away from MN after looking at those photos.

I am home after traveling in six inches of snow to Northern MN to say goodbye to my grandma.

It was a pleasure to stop by and see such wonderful photos of life.

Love ya,

Mary

Beautiful pictures, Alan. We actually had snow here yesterday (I imagine you all did as well?). But at least this time of year we know it won't last long...and it didn't. I guess it's winter's last hurrah before it gives it up to spring.

No snow here, it stopped about 60 miles south and west of us; but very very cold. I had shut off the pilot lights and uncovered the air conditioners, and we had even run them a bit last week!

You just never know!

:o)
