My last...

was much more about the rest of the world than my own little corner...wishing I could deliver hugs and chicken soup and some car repairs for those who could use a bit of help. I am after all, someone who always tries to "fix" everything and despairs when he can't!

Though somehow a nice Italian dinner sounds much more "the ticket" than chicken soup right now...

I made lasagne last night, I should have saved you some.

I often feel awful when I don't know what to say. If I had a magic wand it would be used on the troubles of others.

Awwwwwww! I am the same way - I want to fix everything and make everything better for everyone - except the people who piss me off, of course ;)

Seriously, you make a huge impact by taking care of the people in your little corner of the world, as you call it. If everyone did that, the world would be a much lovelier place.

Funny you say that, because I've got ravioli layered with sauce and vegetables like lasagna (a nice trick I learned from Better Homes and Gardens) baking in my oven right this very second! I do wish you could come and have some.

And as a "fixer" in my little corner of the world, I totally sympathize. *hugs*

Ah, now I'm hungry!

Hugs.. I'm a fixer too. It's ok though. Sometimes they need to be able to fix it themselves, and when we're busy fixing, they don't do it.

SO I think those moments when we can't fix it are sometimes better in the long run. Sometimes. At other times, it's just hard to watch, isn't it? The Wound of Love.

Too bad you can't take the lid off the secret, but I'd rather see you here than never know you at all. If only she knew how beautifully she's written about and how much we all like her (and want to "meet" her) too!

It is both difficult and amazing though, that we can have these feelings for those we only know online. I think it's a good thing.

chicken soup is over rated anyhow

Your words alone can soothe the soul far more than chicken soup -- no need to board a plan or cook a meal for you to help your blogging friends. Coming to your blog is always warm, welcoming and wonderful!

Oops -- board a PLANE, not a plan.

Funny you should mention it -- in a frugal fit, I'm simmering a rich stock from the carcass of last night's dinner ... we're kicking off the three days of expected rain with soup!

Think I'll go google a recipe for Italian Wedding Soup, though, since enthusiasm for chicken soup is waning!

Good to catch up with, Alan. Hope Dottie's on the mend soon, and, as always, your industriousness is impressive!
