The day before...

always abounds in 2nd guessing and other musings; rather like reliving your life in short order...

What if?

Should I have?

Would it have been better?

The voices all whisper and this time I'm going to fight them off, because I know, deep down, that none of what is past can be changed by any amount of giving in to them!

This time, I will look forward not behind!

Ahead lies the time that is left me; the only things I can change are "now" and "the future".

So bring on 54 and we'll see how it plays!

May the week be kind to each of you!

Carpe Deium? A day of fishing!? --> Don't you think it's a bit cold for a day of fishing? I mean, I know guy's love fishing and all, and you should do something you love on your birthday and all, but please whatever you do, please don't freeze to death doing it. We'd all be really, really, sad if you did.

So before you go out onto that frozen lake, make sure it's safe so you don't fall in. Push an old truck down the hill and let it roll out onto the ice. If it falls in, you don't have to worry about taking it to the junkyard, and you know it's not safe on the ice. If is doesn't, then pull it off the ice to be junked later, cut a hole in the easy and dress warm with lots of hot chocolate.

Happy birthday Alan!

You have a great attitude -- shed those "what ifs" and "should haves" and continue looking forward!
