Photo Sunday...

Just a quick post; busy weekend and family party tomorrow. Finally got to see King Kong today on the big screen before we did the shopping. Very glad I did, good movie! Had me to tears at more than one point and crawling backwards out of my seat at others, lol!

This is from almost two years ago, at work at break time. A friend brought his digicam in and I asked him to take this as I thought it might be the only way I'd ever have one of me mounted up. I weighed in the mid 260's at the time; that winter it crept to almost 290, and then I had my "incident". I was wearing 56 bibs then because they were the only thing that fit, and by winter was in 58's...

My sanity is hanging in the back corner of the cage, over my right shoulder...

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

WOW...

So amazing and so thankful you were able to pull yourself back from the trap of weight.

Plus, I'd stay out of your way when you were behind the wheel!

You look like a good old boy to me. And I mean that in the most loving way. You look like many members of my family.

Happy Sunday Alan!

STB; you'd be surprised how many people will run out in front of a 16,000 pound machine and then glare at you because you are there!

boo; your review was part of what convinced me I had to see it on the big screen and it was down to one theatre here, so we went!

RQM; I am always happy to see you!

nancy; I am so happy you feel that way as sometimes I wonder if I'm not a nuisance!

connie; so happy to have met you and the others I've found here! Thank you!

nancy; good I'm not sure about, old is certain, and thank you!

Dr. Deb; I realize it wasn't everyone's cup of tea; for me it went by like an hour and half movie would. I have been told more than once I'm "easy"...

R.D.; my first photo Sunday post was from my 50th birthday, and a week or so later is one from when I was 17 if you go back to January, I think...thank you for the kind words!

heidi, thank you and you may knock on my hard wooden head anytime! :o)

Mary, thank you, but anytime you want to see wonderful look in the mirror!

barbara, actually even a dime with the "old" ones we had, now they have these "spreader" forks on them, so one is actually a hair lower than the other and they don't angle "away" as much as the old ones did. Very nice when you have 3 different sizes of things to deal with all night long, just hit the 4th lever and spread or narrow them accordingly...

glad you dropped by!

by the way, that is a '63 Austin Heeley MarcII, (and friend Dave was helping me clean the pistons and replace the needle in the distributor {cap?} but unfortunately, i sold it to go to England to get married! -- BIG mistake, oh well,
c'est live, as my mom likes to say.

i haven't seen king kong, i heard bad reviews which put me off, but maybe i will try it when it becomes a 7 day rental (i'm a bit of a cheapskate, lol)

hope all is well in your part of the world today!
cheers for now,
pj

I just love this photo of you all 'mounted up'.

A more lovely, sweet, smart and kind man would be hard to find.

So glad I found you, my dear.

You're a hottie at any size!

kath, it truly is a magical world in so many ways and everytime I come here I find it again! Thank you for being part of it!

pj, forgive my error. I saw those "lines" and thought I knew what they were; as I "zoomed" the photo today, though it goes fuzzy I can tell some differences. My Dad's little brother would skin me for that one; he sold Morgans and raced them for a while, and owned an Austin at one point, along with some MG's over the years. Wish I had any of them right now! (Did you mean selling the Austin or the marriage?)

blogzie, you are the light of my life, everyday and always! I can't imagine my world without you...

connie, working on my meme...

tausha, yes, I was a lot like Fred, now there's about 1/3 less of me...

mm, that one is on my list. My wife has been a Paul Walker fan since F&F, and I like the look of that one...maybe Friday or Tuedsy before I go to work(her days off for the next week). Nanny McPhee is on that list too, we'll see how it works out!

Back from the brink, eh? Great to see your smiling face! Weight IS a trap, as the bultler sez, and so difficult to escape from. I''m 12 lbs down now since surgery two weeks ago and I can see the light......

*chuckle* - both actually, lol ...i wondedered if you would ask that, and i was thinking this morning...actually, i don't really regret getting married, otherwise i probably would not have the beautiful daughter that i have...i think life is too sort for regrets, but yes! -- that is the one i do have,-- it was a "stud magnet"; can you imagine what that car would be worth today ($$$$)but aside from that i had such fun racing up the winding Squamish Highway to Whistler in summer with the top down, [now called the Sea to Sky i think, and getting widened for the 2006 Olympics]...and the fun i would have tooling around in it?? oh well, what can i say?... blame it on the biological clock, (me going to England, that is, heh heh!)...

well, cheers for now, i'm going out to enjoy the sun while it lasts,
pj
