A Place I Love...

This is Vermont, where my wife of 30 years was born and raised. I've made many trips there, falling a bit more in love each time. Last time was 2 summers ago along with my first digital camera.

Above is Camel's Hump, one of the landmarks of the state. Another view below-

Brookfield, where her father was raised is famous for the bridge across Brookfield Pond; this was our first new car ever, with her driving across-

She was raised not far from Brookfield, and just down the road from Baker's Pond; the house is her cousins, and as the road goes out of frame on the right it goes over a ridge and down into "The Gulf", one of my favorite afternoon drives ever, and where I've asked her to spread my ashes when my time comes-

It almost doesn't matter where you go, there is a view!

That seems to be the limit Blogger will let me upload of photos; hopefully they will brighten a few mornings and warm a few other ones!

Happy Photo Sunday!

OH, so beautiful! I love Vermont, too, though I've only been up there a few times. It's one of those places that keeps living up to the idea you have about it.

Happy Sunday!

The sunset photograph is truly breath-taking. I never made it to Vermont when I was in New England so I must be sure to go next time. I toured predominantly in NH and Maine. I suspect the maples make Vermont surreal in autumn. Thanks for sharing the photos. :)

Very quaint and gorgeous too! I love New England. Never been to Vermont though. Awesome photos, thanks for sharing them. I bet it doesn't look quite like that today, after the nor'easter.

Thanks for the tip on the fan Alan. Also, you may publish more photos, just do it five at a time.

Have a great week!

Breathtakingly beautiful photos!

I have never been to Vermont but one of my aunts has a condo there. She rents it out all winter but has offered to let us use it in the summer if we'd like. Your pictures make me want to take her up on that offer!

Most lovely, thanks for sharing.
