Something I'm looking forward to...

since I saw the first preview is "The Golden Compass". Though it's still several months away, when I ran across this at someone's LiveJournal, I couldn't resist.

Makes me wish I had time to read the books first...alas, time is at a premium these days!

I finally got half the lawn trimmed and mowed yesterday, and as soon as I finish this latte am off to do the back half before work. Between the trip to Wyoming and volunteering to work last Saturday, then spending Sunday becoming a child again (see below) it had somehow gotten quite ragged!

:o)

If it will help you feel better, I will post a new picture of my lawn. Haven't mowed since we sowed seed -- whenever that was. There are some pretty tall buttercuppy looking weeds out there! I like the buttercuppy looking weeds. It's painful to cut them down. Pre-emergent in the spring might resolve the issue, maybe?

We did, however, get the garage squared away for winter.

More than anyone, you earned your time with the carousels...

I read about the Chrysler worker walkout and thought of you. Hope you're doing okay--it seems like you are.

I think I'll spend Sunday becoming a child again too!

I haven't been able to get my lawn done for over a month. The rain hasn't relented long enough to allow the lawn to dry out since early September.

So why is it that as we get older, we seem to have less time to get the things done that we want to get done?

That is so cool! I pretty much agree with what yours says, you seem like a modest/moderate person. I have not heard of this movie, but I had to get my own daemon. I will post it...

I haven't heard of the movie or the book. Interesting pic, though, I like the graphics. It's finally stopped raining here, so maybe we can get the lawn mowed and the weeds trimmed back for winter. It was 33F degrees here this morning. That's as close to being winter as we ever see!

Funny, yesterday it was a cat named Melania whom I really really liked...

They said it would morph as my friends weighed in with their thoughts!

Remember when I talked about an "atheist movie" that my mom heard about on Faux News? Think this is it. Yeah, we all need to see it.

The Catholic League's boycott

Focus on the Family doesn't even have to see it to know what they think of it.

I remember when the Church rose up against "Dogma", Kevin Smith's film a few years ago. The highlight of the protest (for me) was when a group in New Jersey found out that one of the protesters who had joined them was Kevin Smith...he just had to go, he said!
