...and "pffft" it was gone!

I can't figure out how I'd write the sound that Archie Campbell used to make when he sang that...

Whoopee cushion, anyone?

I ended up with 3 hours sleep before I had to get up for the party on Saturday morning. John and Noel are trying to get their house ready to move, and my brother-in-law was going to help them trim some things and make some new cabinet doors that afternoon, so my sister took Dillon for the night and we took Caleb and the birthday girl. I had planned to have uploaded a memory card from her party by now, but haven't had time, sorry!

I had an e-mail from Sears Friday night about a 3 hour sale that day, and since they changed the hours on the Fitness Center at work there is no way I can get there now, so we took the kids and went and I bought a treadmill. We came home, unloaded it, and that was it, I was done...I slept for 16 of the next 19 hours...

Sunday I got up at noon and it was 60, so while Dottie took Caleb and Talia to the nursing home to see my Mom, I returned the dolly we rented to move the treadmill and ran my truck through the car wash and cleaned it up. I had hand washed it the last warm spell a couple of weeks ago, so it came out clean.

I never got to Dottie's Malibu that time as she had it at work, and the car wash wasn't going to make it white again, so when they came home I handwashed it, changed her wiper blades and Rain-X'd both of them as it's supposed to turn back to winter in about the next 6 hours or so. Monday it was 63, right now it's 56, by noon it's supposed to be snowing and tonight it's supposed to be 11...

I got home at 4 tonight, and after starting laundry and running through the shower, I wrote a family e-mail. We had talked of trying to do a family vacation this summer with all 4 families, but not sure it's going to pan out, and I have to apply for whatever I'm going to ask for in February if I'm going to get it.

So now it's coming up on 5:30, and I need to put clothes in the dryer and wander off to bed!

One down, 4 to go...

May the week be kind!

To this sleep-deprived woman, those 16 hours sound DIVINE!

Thanks for the reminder to replace wiper blades -- I'm telling you, between snow and slush splatter, this winter has been hell on the cars! I've got two out of three that need to visit the body shop, as well, due to parking lot hit-n-runs. We've had two days of melting now, and expect temps to plummet tonight, with a brand new load of snow by morning. Oy. Can't wait for Spring!

You have such busy schedule I don't know how you manage and to still sound sane!

May the week be indeed kind to you :-)

And PS. My apologies for not getting round to you more often!

We should start a get-blogging-into-perspective society so that blogging can have a healthy part of lives without either taking over or us being wracked with guilt for not keeping up with others as much as we would like! And then that can take over our lives instead ;-)

The family holiday dates is a difficult one - unless you push ahead and get some sort of consensus and book your own dates then the others won't be able to fall into place. Sometimes you just gotta trust it will all work out. Easier said than done.

Can't sit still, can ya? Oh well, at least you can see out the windows. I can't!
Oh, and I use our treadmill every day. The ironing board is on it and so is my towel from this morning. :-)

Good for you! A treadmill at home sounds great to me. I hope you manage to find some quiet time for yourself, to exercise.

I need an Alan around here. Nothing is getting done properly.

Alan, I get tired just reading your schedule.
It's -11 here and I can hear that wind blowing.
I'm glad it's not snowing.

Get some rest guy..

Try to work out the family vacation thing if you can. Last summer my family did a cruise to Alaska courtesy of my oldest and her hubby... it was divine! The memories well worth the effort.

I'm exhausted just reading this!

May your vacation plans work out...and may your week (and weekend) be *really* kind!

I'm always amazed by your schedule and the amount of energy you bring to everything you do. Good for you for getting that treadmill. Hope you find time to walk. I bet it would be fun to use that treadmill and listen to your favorite music. We played some big band stuff for my step-daughter and her boyfriend the other night. They liked it. Pretty cool for kids in their 20s.

This weather is driving me mad. Okay to be truthful the nice bits of it are incredible, it's the cold I could do without. I should be thankful that we have the nice bits mixed in.

My treadmill is in storage, the man couldn't stand it being in his garage, but as soon as I can I'm going to load that thing back up and bring it home, to the garage, and crank it up. My problem is I get on it and get so danged board, and maybe I'm notching it up too fast or something because after five minutes I'm usually ready to croak. xx
