Grandpa and grandsons...

Back in January I posted a photo from a slide of my Dad's Dad and I in 1958 on the front porch of this house I live in now. I was about two and a half. My grandsons spent the night last Saturday and my Monday post was about the storm we awoke to on Sunday and showed some storm damage.

After we cleaned up the first wave of debris last Sunday (little knowing what was in store for the rest of the day, lol!) I tried to get two little boys to let Grandma take a picture of us on that same porch. Dillon, who will be 7 in May didn't mind much. Caleb, who'll be 3 in September didn't mind as long as he got to blow "raspberries" at Grandma...

Happy Photo Sunday everyone!

You and the grandkids in front of the house...the continuity of it all is amazing and comforting...loved your weather story -- what a lot of work and worry! Glad you're all okay.

hey, I want some sausage, eggs and pancakes, too! The perfect weekend breakfast, all too infrequent around here, but I guess I am watching my girlish figure, LOL.

You look like a very happy grandpa, hanging out with your grandsons. It doesn't get any better than that. How wonderful that you get to pose with them on the same porch your grand-dad posed with you. That's incredible continuity. Very lucky.

Your grandchildren are just adorable!!!! You look like a proud grandfather.

I HATE SEVERE weather. I don't have a basement in my townhouse so when the weather is going to get bad around these parts I hit the road and go to someone's house where they do.

Have a great week my friend.

ahhh, that is the most adorable photo -- i wish i had a little son, (well, he would be a big son now and could help me move furniture)-- but i do love little boys, there is just something so mischievous and endearing about them!

anyway, pickling-eating season is over, and i am looking forward to June/July when Lucy puts down a new batch, but on April 3rd, me, my friend Janice and her daughter, take our first belly-dancing class!!!!
[wish me luck!]
cheers for now,
pj

Precious. I'm thinking you are just a wee bit proud! And how wonderful that there is so much history - and love - in that house.

Great shot, Alan. The kids are just adorable--and you look fantastic!

Isn't it weird, standing in moments that connect through the years to other moments? I have a shot of my kids sitting on the steps of my old doll house--a mini-house my Dad built for me when I was a kid. Wild.
