in this big old world, we all get to look up at this same lovely moon...
This one was mine at 2AM when I came home...shot from my front sidewalk...
So as I think of you each when I look up on my way home, I wonder if any of you ever think of us sharing this wonderful sight?

Nikon 5700 with a telephoto, on a tripod with an "extended" release (the electronic eqivalent of a cable release).
Exposure was 1/8 second at f4.2 at the 100 ASA setting.
Glad you each enjoyed it; I didn't do it justice, but it's the thought that counts I guess!

Alan, this is actually something I think about a lot -- that I share the same moon as others. That's a stunning picture you took. I'm happy to share that moon with you!
So beautiful! My favorite thing in nature--and yes, I often think the same thing, and say it to my kids if we're ever apart at night.

This reminds me of the song:
"I see the moon, the moon sees me
The moon sees somebody I want to see

The whole, 'sharing the moon' reminds me of a time gone by, when I was away from someone I loved very much...but we'd look at the moon and know that the other was seeing it as well. Such a lovely sentiment, Alan. Thank you.
