Down to 10 again...

so I came home, figured out how to run my Radio Shack heart monitor again, then spent a half hour on the treadmill with "The Pink Panther" (Boomer network). 1.5 miles with the warm up and cool down; no incline, and all my legs wanted for tonight.

Some "wag" at work figured out that the 300 of us leaving amounted to over 9,000 years experience walking out the door...rather a shocking number!

I've had a hard time not taking time to rant a bit, and I guess my shower is going to wait a few more minutes.

Last month our Peerless Leader said he didn't need to quit filling the Strategic Petroleum reserve because the supply of oil wasn't the problem.

Now he and his Dear John are both raving about how we need to drill offshore and in Alaska...

Meanwhile on "Marketplace" and other places they keep talking about the "Enron loophole" that did away with oversight on oil speculators in 2001...right after the guy who got the most campaign money from Enron snuck into office!

Should you wish to read much more literate discussions of this and things current, scroll down to the right and visit Robert Reich's blog.

May your Fridays each be wonderful and the weekend kind!

AND when W is FINALLY out of office, he and dick the prick will continue growing richer from their oil interests.

Stop the insanity!

Alan they are both idiots, and to think there are about 26 % or so that would still vote for them.

Rest dear man..

It's hard to imagine that our democracy has been subverted so a handful of corporations could make zillions of dollars, but that's the sad truth of it. The psychopath mentality runs the world, that's why it never makes sense to the rest of us.

Nine thousand hours is a remarkable amount of time and institutional memory. They're going to miss you all when you're out the door. That's for sure.

alan, thanks so much for asking about my mom, the swing gal! She's okay, still not completely well, but getting better. We're hoping to see her in a week or two. Really looking forward to it.

9000 years of experience. That is an incredible number.

Hope you had a nice weekend!
That GWB is something special isn't he? Jeepers. I actually heard a radio program where his accomplishments were being highlighted and they were supporting overturning presidential term limits so he could run for a third term! Argh.

9000 yrs of experience, that is awesome, I actually figured out one night at work that if I take early retirement at age 70 (don't laugh, you know it is likely since I'm 34 now) I have 432 months of work left as of June lol. Hope that helps ya feel better :)

That is a lot of experience that they're losing out on. Hope it's your gain.

Regarding the drilling, I feel like I did working in a convenience store and seeing homeless people spend their only three bucks on a beer and a lottery ticket...and I couldn't say "no".

This time we can!
